AIGP Dr. Asha Singh, a distinguished gynaecology consultant, stands as a beacon of excellence in Nepal's medical community. Born in the district of Sarlahi and raised in Kathmandu, she envisioned a future where women's health and well-being would be given the utmost priority. With her exceptional leadership skills and profound understanding of underlying health problems within police personnel’s and their families Dr. Singh was appointed as AIG of Nepal Police by the Government of Nepal on B.S. 2076/10/06. Her journey to becoming the Medical Director of Nepal Police Hospital is a testament to her unwavering dedication to healthcare and her profound impact on the lives of police personnel and their families.
AIG Dr. Asha Singh’s transformative journey at Nepal Police Hospital began when she joined as a young medical officer in Nepal Police as Technical Police Inspector on B.S. 2052/10/18. After completing her higher studies and becoming Senior Consultant Gynecologist, she paved the road for establishing Gynecology Department in Nepal Police Hospital. Her empathetic approach and exceptional clinical expertise gained her the trust of countless women within the police force, earning her a reputation as a caring and compassionate doctor. As she rose through the ranks, Dr. Singh became a role model and also paved the way for other aspiring female medical professionals to pursue leadership roles within the institution.
AIG Dr. Asha Singh has been awarded with N.D. Gold Medal for Standing 1st in M.D. Gynaecology & Obstetrics. She has also been honored with the prestigious Suprabal Jansewashree by the president of Nepal for her tireless efforts in empowering women's health and serving police personnel. She has also received extensive trainings in the field of medical science as well as leadership and management. During her profound career she has visited numerous foreign countries including India, Pakistan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, USA, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and Netherland.
